Marriage Records
Issued by the probate court in the county where the marriage license was issued.
- Spouse 1's full name (maiden or previous name, if applicable)
- Spouse 2's full name (maiden or previous name, if applicable)
- Date of the marriage (or approximate year, if you're not sure)
- County where the marriage license was issued
Divorce Decrees
Issued by the Clerk of Courts in the county where the divorce was granted.
- Both parties' first and last names during the marriage
- Year the divorce case was filed
- Case number, if you have it
- County where the divorce was granted
- Any other documents from the case you'd like copied

Just married?
The court can't issue your record until your officiant returns the signed marriage license. If you married recently, check with your officiant that it's been filed.
Need it for use abroad?
